We love Two Little Monkeys—a wonderful project owned by a local family! The tour includes a walk through their organic farm, where you’ll discover cacao trees, exotic fruits, and spices while learning about the rich history and cultural significance of cacao.

Next comes the chocolate-making experience. You’ll enjoy two traditional chocolate drinks, prepared using ancient Mayan tools. Then, get creative as you mold and decorate your own chocolate bars to take home.

While your chocolates set, savor the refreshing taste of freshly pressed sugarcane juice from a traditional trapiche and browse a selection of artisanal chocolates made on-site. Two Little Monkeys also produces amazing chocolate bars, so be sure to bring some extra cash to take home their delicious products. By purchasing, you’re also supporting an organized group of women from rural areas who supply the cacao beans—contributing directly to hardworking families.
