Overview

Night Walks in Costa Rica have become a very popular activity, and it doesn’t matter if you’ve already done this experience elsewhere in the country—each forest offers a unique adventure, with different species to discover.

As night falls, the forest transforms into a completely different world—one filled with mystery, fascinating creatures, and the enchanting sounds of nature after dark.

We offer different experiences—write to us on WhatsApp if you’d like more information to help you choose the best option.

With a team of expert naturalist guides, as well as biologists and an entomologist, this tour will take you along carefully selected trails, each offering unique nocturnal encounters.

One of the highlights of this tour is spotting Costa Rica’s diverse amphibians, including the famous Red-eyed Tree Frog, the stunning Glass Frog, and even rare species found only in specific microhabitats. Along the way, you may also encounter snakes camouflaged in the foliage, nocturnal mammals like kinkajous, and nocturnal birds with eerie calls, like the Spectacled Owl, for an unforgettable experience.

For those interested in the smaller wonders of the rainforest, we offer a Sunset Entomology Night Walk, where an expert entomologist will guide you through the incredible  insects on our Twilight Insect and Night Walk—from giant moths and stick insects to glowing click beetles and tarantulas.

This tour is designed for everyone—from nature lovers and adventure seekers to families and curious travelers looking for a deeper understanding of the rainforest. Private and small group tours are available. Night walks are not safe to go alone without a guide, don´t miss the opportunity of exploring the forest at night

By joining this experience, you actively support the conservation of these fragile ecosystems, helping to protect the incredible biodiversity that makes Costa Rica one of the most extraordinary places on Earth.
